Robinson-Weeks-Robinson Scholarship Fund Inc. was founded in 1989 in honor of three African American physicians who served the cities of West Contra Costa County for over five decades. In addition to providing healthcare for the community, these physicians volunteered their efforts to encourage high school youth to pursue careers in health sciences. As an organization dedicated to carrying on this vision, the RWRSF has awarded over 250 scholarships to deserving students over the past thirty years. To continue our effort to encourage and support high school graduates of West Contra Costa County, we encourage students to pursue careers in science, technology, electronics, and math (STEM). We are totally dependent on volunteer fundraising events to achieve this goal. In memory of Paul T. Robinson, M.D., Samuel A. Weeks, M.D., and Julius C. Robinson, M.D., we welcome your participation and financial commitment to support this ongoing noble effort.

Paul T. Robinson, M.D., was born in Louisville, Arkansas, and attended Meharry Medical College. In 1953, he moved to Richmond, California, becoming a highly visible leader in the medical community and civil rights activities. Dr. Robinson practiced as a general surgeon and family physician.

Samuel A. Weeks, M.D., was born on the island of Barbados in the West Indies. He received his medical degree from Howard University Medical School in Washington, D.C. He cared for hundreds of Richmond residents in more than 40 years of service as a general practitioner.

Julius C. Robinson, M.D., was the son of Dr. Paul T. Robinson. Julius was born in Louisiana and also attended Meharry Medical College. He was active in the local medical community for over 20 years and practiced as a general surgeon. Dr. Robinson served as vice president of the medical staff at Brookside Hospital, becoming their first African American executive.
